Sybase Match Play Championsip Thursday: May Madness Isn't Just a Slogan

It's May Madness at the Sybase Match Play Championship! Don't believe me?

May Madness: Ji-Yai Shin, Song-Hee Kim, Amy Yang, Morgan Pressel, Brittany Lincicome, Mika Miyazato, Juli Inkster, and Vicky Hurst make early exits. Congrats to Meena Lee, Sophie Gustafson, Kyeong Bae, Julieta Granada, Wendy Ward, Alena Sharp, Jenny Suh, and Amy Hung!

May Madness: Brittany Lang, who's been stuck in the 2nd major slump of her LPGA career, made it look easy against Solheim Cup stalwart Christina Kim.

May Madness: Katie Futcher took Stacy Lewis to 19 holes, but couldn't knock her out in the end. Too bad Golf Channel missed Lewis's deciding approach shot on the 1st playoff hole!

May Madness: Belen Mozo beat Azahara Munoz with a birdie on the 21st hole, bouncing back from a furious comeback by her close friend, who had been 4-down with 6 holes to play.

May Madness: Ai Miyazato won 2 of her last 6 holes, including the 18th, to take Hee Young Park to extra holes and beat her on the 21st with a clutch birdie.

May Madness: Defending champion Sun Young Yoo played the match of the day against a game Grace Park.

Cool 2nd round matches include Paula Creamer vs. Karrie Webb, Michelle Wie vs. Anna Nordqvist, Ya Ni Tseng vs. Jenny Suh, and Seon Hwa Lee vs. Julieta Granada. More later, after the tv coverage is over!
