Ji-Hee Lee got it to -10 after a bogey-free front-9 32 today at the Hisako Higuchi Morinaga Ladies, but a birdieless back-9 38 opened the door to her lead chase pack, which includes Momoko Ueda and Junko Omote at 7, Bo-Mee Lee at -6, Yumiko Yoshida, Yukari Baba, and Erika Kikuchi at -5, and Mika Miyazato, Erina Hara, Ai Suzuki, Esther Lee, and Megumi Kido at -4.
The leading Lee is looking for her 18th career JLPGA title and 1st since 2012, while Ueda hopes to collect her 2nd W of the season and 11th of her career and the trailing Lee is gunning for her 4th victory of the season and 9th of her JLPGA career.
I'll of course be rooting for Mikan to get her 1st professional win in Japan outside the Japan Women's Open, but would be really happy to see Ueda prevail in the end, as well. A huge comeback from Teresa Lu (-1) or Ji-Yai Shin (E) isn't entirely out of the question, either. Let's see what happens tomorrow!
