Inbee Park Pulls out of the Australian Swing
The ALPG announces the bad news: no ANZ Ladies Masters or Women's Australian Open for Inbee Park. I wonder what's up with Inbee. She hasn't been the same golfer since she won the U.S. Women's Open. Come to think of it, that's probably the reason she's bagging Australia--a combination of wanting to cut down on her early-season jet-setting and needing more time to work on her game. It always worries me when a golfer cites "personal reasons" for pulling out of a tournament, though. I much prefer Amy Yang's approach. The LET's big names are still committed to the ANZ Ladies Masters, as are Ji-Yai Shin, Ya Ni Tseng, Karrie Webb, and Ai Miyazato, so the tournament will be fine. It'll be interesting to see how the big 3 in the last 2 events--Gwladys Nocera, Katherine Hull, and Sarah Oh--not to mention those at the top of the ALPG money list, will handle the competition later this week.
