When Hiroyuki Fujita held on to win the Golf Nippon JT Cup despite a final-round 61 by Toru Taniguchi, he delivered the JGTO money list title to Kyung-Tae Kim, who outlasted Fujita, Ryo Ishikawa, and Yuta Ikeda this season in a close race. This is an historic accomplishment for Kim, who's become the 1st Korean to top the JGTO money list. He joins compatriots Ji-Yai Shin (the 1st Korean to top the LPGA money list [2009]), Sun-Ju Ahn (the 1st Korean to top the JLPGA money list [2010]), and Na Yeon Choi (the 2nd Korean to top the LPGA money list [2010]). Congrats, Kyung-Tae!
Now let's see if Choi can put on a final-round charge of her own today and become the 1st Korean to win the LPGA's Player of the Year award. She needs to win to do it....
