Congratulations to Maria Hjorth as she makes the Avnet LPGA Classic her 5th career victory. Maria won by 2 shots over Song-Hee Kim and 3 shots over Suzanne Petterson and Na-Yeon Choi. For Pettersen and Kim it was just another frustrating finish that has become the norm the last couple of years. Kim had 16 top-ten finishes last year but has yet to get to the winner's circle. Pettersen was a bridesmaid 6 times last year and has not won since 2009. Sixteen-year-old Lexi Thompson gave us all a thrill until 2 consecutive double bogeys on the back nine dropped her out of contention.

Congratulations for winning this week's PakPicker! Well done, rookie!
Kevin
Thank you. Hope it wasn't just beginners luck.
Your first event of the year on tap! Hope you and Cindy have a great time. A certain BlueDevil admitted to having self-pity on twitter last night. I think she is lucky to squeak into the Sybase. I know you will give her that motivational talk she needs. LOL.
You won PakPicker? That proves why I don't play there, too many heavyweights. But I did pull out a P2 on myLPGA.com contest.
Way to go on the PakPicker, Tony! Can't wait to see what scoring system they unveil for the Sybase!
