Which Players Will Shine in Tournament Number Nine?

The ninth tournament of the year, the State Farm Classic, will be held at Springfield, Ill., this week. The final field of 150 players will be on hand, with the only notables missing being Ai Miyazato and Inbee Park. Here are some of the details:

Course: Panther Creek Country Club
Par: 72
Yardage: 6746
Defending Champion: Cristie Kerr

TV Times: (Eastern Standard Time)
Thursday 6:30PM - 8:30PM
Friday 6:30PM - 8:30PM
Saturday 6:30PM - 9:30PM
Sunday 6:30PM - 9:30PM

A one-week break will follow this tournament, with the next two tournaments being Major Championships.

Rolex Move of the Week:

Brittany Lincicome moves from #24 to #15.

The Titleholders Championship:

Qualifying for the Titleholders Championship this past week were Anna Nordqvist, Catriona Matthew and Brittany Lang. The highest-ranking player yet to qualify is Inbee Park.

Ugliest Stat of the Week:

Louise Friberg has missed 7 consecutive cuts on the LPGA tour.

Strangest Stat of the Week:

The only newcomer this week to the top 50 players in the world (Rolex Rankings) is last year's Rookie of the Year runner-up Beatriz Recari who jumps from #52 to #44. Why is that strange? The only person to drop out of the top 50 was last year's Rookie of the Year Azahara Munoz.

Thanks for the less obvious factoids, Tony. Hope last week was cool. Enjoy your time at home before you are off again!
