21-year-old Satsuki Oshiro made 6 birdies and an eagle in the 2nd round of the Resort Trust Ladies on her way to a bogey-free 64 that gave her a 2-shot lead on 26-year-old Nachiyo Ohtani, who could "only" manage an 8-birdie 66 today. Lurking at -6, 1 shot further back, are much-more established stars in the JLPGA galaxy, like Ayako Uehara (7-birdie 65), Sakura Yokomine (bogey-free 68), and Shinobu Moromizato (69 with an eagle and 2 birdies). With 11 golfers within 5 shots of the lead, this is still almost anyone's tournament, but it will sure be interesting to see if Oshiro, who's only made 3 cuts in her 8 starts this season and hasn't cracked the top 15 yet in her short professional career, can keep the pedal to the metal tomorrow and outdistance her lead chase pack!

Last week's winner Mogi and the JLPGA's leading money-winner Saiki barely made the cut on a day lotts of players went low. Me, I'm wondering when Yokomine will get her groove back! Will it be tomorrow?
