Manulife Financial Classic Preview & Pairings

After a one-week break, the LPGA will resume its schedule this week with the inaugural playing of the Manulife Financial Classic.

Here are the details:

Course: Grey Silo Golf Course
Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Defending Champion: Inaugural Event
Winning Score: None

Final Field: 144 players
Par: 36-35   =71

My strength of field rating is only 54%, making it the second-weakest field of the year. Several big name players are skipping this event. Among them missing are Yani Tseng, Brittany Lincicome, Jiyai Shin, Catriona Matthew, Maria Hjorth, Mika Miyazato, Se Ri Pak, Song-Hee Kim, Jimin Kang, Eun-Hee Ji, Natalie Gulbis, Lindsey Wright, and Laura Davies.

Here are the Pairings and Tee Times

Song-Hee Kim's 76.90 per round average is the worst on the tour for players who have played at least 20 rounds this year.

Hard to believe fact of the week:
Michelle Wie has missed the cut in the last 5 stroke play tournaments she has entered.

Rolex Rankings Mover of the Week:
Soo-Jin Yang, winner on the KLPGA this past weekend, moves from #51 to 42.

Who's Hot:
Stacy Lewis has finished in the top five in five of her last six tournaments. She won two of those events.

Who's Not:
Neither Maria Hjorth nor Catriona Matthew has a top 10 this year.
