Getting Psyched Up for the International Crown!

The LPGA's International Crown is finally here!  Caves Valley Golf Club is the host site and their web site has an excellent course tour.  There's water in play on the 3 of the 1st 4 holes, so players will need to come out of the gates swinging.  There are a range of tees that the tournament organizers can choose from, so the course could look and play quite different each day.

Here's the schedule of pool four-ball ("best-ball") matches, with links to LPGA.com team previews (the videos available on LPGA.com are also good set-ups).  I'll focus on Pool A tomorrow and Pool B Wednesday!

THURSDAY

Pool A

U.S. (1) vs. Taiwan (8)
Thailand (4) vs. Spain (5)

Pool B

Korea (2) vs. Australia (7)
Japan (3) vs. Sweden (6)

FRIDAY

U.S. (1) vs. Spain (5)
Thailand (4) vs. Taiwan (8)

Pool B

Japan (3) vs. Australia (7)

This could be quite fun to watch. Hardly a group of the world's best players with a RR average of 59.22 but interesting all the same. I'm neutral here, NO not going for the Aussies just like to see some good competitive golf while our champ gets some well earned R and R.

Bruce do you know how the 1.6M purse is to be divided? I see $100,000.00 to each member of the winning team and can Minjee Lee accept any money?

Minjee would have to turn pro to accept the $! Think she will?

No but it's quite likely Minjee could perform the best of the Australians. I was thinking Lydia would only now just have taken more money than she has forfeited as an amateur. Which in itself could be a record?
