Charley Hull has shot a pair of 64s in Germany on the LET this week, but trails leader Kylie Walker by 6 shots. Yup, Scotland's 27-year-old rising star, who's won once already this year and is #22 on the tour's Order of Merit, shot 3--count 'em, 1, 2, 3--64s in a row. How's she done it? She's birdied half the holes she's played thus far this week.
Granted, this is not Royal Liverpool, and lots of players are going low--Yu Yang Zhang is also -18, Anne-Lise Caudal and Celine Herbin are -16, Amy Boulden is -15, Sandra Gal and Carlota Ciganda are -14, and a total of 20 players are double digits under par already--but in the midst of a historic week by Rory McIlroy, a crowded and diverse leaderboard on the LPGA, and chances for a 3rd win in 2014 by Misuzu Narita on the JLPGA and Kyu-Jung Baek on the KLPGA, but I hope that the non-bloggy media picks up on this story.
I can't remember a player ever doing what Walker's done. Can you? Think she has any hope of making it 4 in a row?
