Yeah, yeah, I know Ai Miyazato is off to about the worst start to a season of her professional career--and unlike last year when she seemed just a little bit off, she's been way off way too often in 2014. But she's come close to winning the Founders Cup her last 2 starts and she's had a little time off to collect herself. So I'm calling this one for Ai-sama, despite the strength of this field.
1. Miyazato Ai
2. Creamer
3. Ryu
4. Lewis, Stacy
5. Choi Na Yeon
6. Park Inbee
7. Webb
8. Ko
9. Kim In-Kyung
10. Stanford
11. Feng
12. Yang
Alts: Pettersen; Hedwall; Nordqvist
My dark horses for the week include ASU grad Giulia Molinaro, Monday qualifier Jenny Suh, and former 1st alternate Harukyo Nomura. I'll also be paying close attention to the golfers on the bubble to make their respective teams for the International Crown.
[Update 1 (7:14 pm): Ward Clayton notes that sponsor invite Cheyenne Woods went to prep school not far from Wildfire, Beth Ann Nichols covers the ASU reunion that took place earlier this week, Armchair Golf links to Paula Creamer's "putt heard 'round the world" in his Founders Cup preview, Bill Rand will be covering the Cup from on-site, and of course Tony Jesselli's preview from last week is not to be missed!]
[Update 2 (3/19/14, 12:29 pm): Here's Centurion's preview and a taste of his picks for the PakPicker at Seoul Sisters.com.]
