But check out the coolest pairings before them: Momoko Ueda and Laura Davies (10:10 am), Meg Mallon and Jeong Jang (10:35 am), Cristie Kee and Amanda Blumenhurst (10:43 am), Morgan Pressel and Paula Creamer (11:23 am), Seon Hwa Lee and Shiho Ohyama (11:55 am), Ji-Yai Shin and Jee Young Lee (12:03 pm), and Moira Dunn and Natalie Gulbis (12:19 pm). Some fantastic head-to-head match-ups for moving day!
And there's more: I really like the Suzann Pettersen/Reilley Rankin 8:19 am pairing, as Rankin certainly has the potential to break out like Pettersen did last year and Pettersen has the potential to fall back to Rankin's level. Sakura Yokomine and Minea Blomqvist at 8:35 am are intriguing, particularly if they can overcome the language barrier; I wonder what perspective Blomqvist might share with Yokomine as someone who made the jump to the LPGA early in her career. The Meaghan Francella/Angela Stanford pairing at 9:15 am puts together two players who have gone on great runs in the early season (last year and this, respectively), while the Julieta Granada/Candie Kung pairing at 9:39 am puts together two players at different points in their career who are both trying to break out of lengthy slumps (H.J. Choi and Meena Lee at 10:19 am are also looking to finally get their seasons going). Somehow Janice Moodie and Lindsey Wright strike me as players who are at a similar position in their careers--they've come very close to breaking through and joining the elite, but haven't quite made it yet. And I'm really excited to see how Na Yeon Choi and Shi Hyun Ahn play today--both have loads of potential and haven't come close to tapping into it lately.
Ah, Moving Day in a major! There's nothing quite like it.
