Ah, I stopped collecting around that time, when the habit got too expensive. I've kept up off and on through friends who didn't stop, but have mostly succumbed to the British Invasion (Moore, Gaiman, Ennis, Ellis...). I remember back in the day when it was the pencillers who were the lead guitarists. I like the current writer-centricity (not surprising, given what I do for a living) and love the way in which Hollywood is slowly catching on to Americanizing Japan's manga/anime nexus. Did you hear that Spider-Man 3 will open first in Japan? Too bad with two kids under 4 actually seeing a movie in a theater is out for me for a while yet....

Why, they appear to be quite insane: just my kinda people!
I thought so, ever since you posted that My Little Ponies of the Apocalypse from Moral Orel. Up for the Blogocalypse?
Certainly. My favorite comic books were the whole Crisis on Infinite Earths thing; this could be much the same, in pixels.
You may want to draft Krucoff at Young Manhattenite as well. He's got that "Blow shit up at all costs" mentality that so livens up a meeting.
